Summary
This proposal seeks to increase the ASTRO fee required when adding incentives to pools. The recent decrease in ASTRO’s dollar value has made it significantly cheaper to add incentives, which might lead to potential abuse of the system.
Motivation
Currently, there is a limitation of 5 incentives per pool at any given time. Due to the low cost of adding incentives, it has become possible for users to spam the pools with low or zero-value tokens, effectively blocking legitimate incentives from being added. This situation undermines the integrity of the incentive system and hinders its proper functioning.
Implementation
This proposal suggests increasing the ASTRO fee from 250 to 1500, adjusting the cost to approximately $50 to add incentives. This increase will deter spamming and ensure that only legitimate incentives are added to the pools.
Conclusion
Raising the ASTRO fee for adding incentives will help prevent the misuse of the incentive system, ensuring that pools remain accessible for legitimate incentives and maintaining the overall health of the protocol.
